ÖVP defeat with a run-up in the Innsbruck election

The blacks have done pretty much everything wrong that can be done wrong since 2018. The population has seen through it. A slap in the face that they truly deserve! A commentary by Markus Gassler, head of the "Tiroler Krone" newspaper.

"I think this is the right way to go!" This sentence from ÖVP provincial party chairman LH Anton Mattle has stuck in my mind since election night. With these words, he commented on his party's performance in Innsbruck. "Of course I would have hoped for a better result. Nevertheless, I think we are on the right track!" You have to let that melt in your mouth. The Innsbruck VP has achieved the worst result in its history with just over ten percent and the regional party chairman says that the path taken was the right one. But the opposite is the case!
