Innsbruck is different. There are political disputes everywhere and especially in election campaigns. But the fact that almost every party has split at some point or someone has split off is unique. Even for the notorious contentiousness of Tyrolean stubborn people. The election campaign is correspondingly chaotic.

1 . what exactly makes the Innsbruck election so special? Non-Tyroleans shake their heads in amazement when they see the ballot paper. Among the 13 party lists there is a new Innsbruck, the just Innsbruck and the current Innsbruck. There are no more candidates for Innsbruck. Instead we have independents and transparent independents. And so on and so forth.
