According to reports, German actor Til Schweiger (60) had to be treated in hospital on Mallorca as a result of sepsis (blood poisoning) and even feared losing his leg. Krone+ took a look at what is behind the illness, which in the worst case can even be fatal.

Schweiger reported that he had hit his shin and germs had gotten into the wound, which then led to sepsis. After the "open leg" became more and more infected, he was even threatened with amputation. Despite intensive treatment, the actor has still not overcome the serious illness. US actress Ashley Park (32) was also recently in mortal danger as a result of sepsis.
