700 conscripts put to the test in Tyrol

A major exercise of the 6th Mountain Brigade in Tyrol a few days ago demanded everything from the 700 or so conscripts and their commanders. The "Krone" was there up close and personal. Surprising details came to light, and action-packed scenes were also captured - see also the videos. 

"Thank God they're finally letting us practise again. During the long phase of assistance operations, we were denied this in recent years," said Gerhard Pfeifer, Brigadier and Commander of the 6th Mountain Brigade, and Udo Hofer, Lieutenant Colonel and Commander of Jäger Battalion 26, which is part of the 6th Mountain Brigade, breathing a sigh of relief.
