Educational leave as a baby break: mothers under pressure

A new model for educational leave is intended to prevent abuse. If Labor Minister Martin Kocher has his way, it will no longer be possible for mothers to take it after a year of parental leave. Mothers are fighting back: "We have no other choice!"

Anyone who agrees on educational leave with their employer can concentrate fully on the desired further training. You are released from work and no longer receive a salary, but rather a training allowance from the AMS equivalent to the unemployment benefit you would receive if you were unemployed. The company benefits from an employee who comes back better trained. So far, so good.
