Reopening approaching: “I’m still in awe”

The long-awaited reopening is imminent: the Bärenschützklamm gorge has been around since 1901 - then in July 2020 the tragic rockfall with three fatalities. From one day to the next, everything fell silent in the village. Now the operator and landlord are looking forward to May 5, when the gorge reopens its gates.

"Gorge closed - no access" is emblazoned on the sign at the entrance. Immediately behind it, rugged cliffs open up - the sound of rushing water in the background gives you an idea of the natural gem hidden here. Visitors were denied access for almost four years. Because in July 2020, every hiker's nightmare became reality here: three people died in a rockslide.
