Styrians despair over a 2000 euro additional heating payment

Two Styrians were at a loss when it came to the cost of their heating, partly because of a high additional payment. At first they blamed everything on the increased prices, then on a complicated billing error. The ombudswoman and Krone+ investigated the matter.

Can you still remember? There was a time when you could actually pay your electricity and energy bills without hesitation, partly because of the very affordable prices. Today, the sight of an annual bill can make your mouth water. This is what happened to Harald F. and Andrea O., who actually live very frugally, when ISTA suddenly demanded an additional payment of more than 2,000 euros.
