Four years ago, a virus changed the world. Tyrolean doctor Günter Weiss treated the first known corona patients in Austria back then. He spoke to the "Krone" newspaper about the lack of treatment for the pandemic and why some people often fall ill with Covid-19.

On 11 March 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared Covid-19 a pandemic. Infectiologist Günter Weiss, Director of the Innsbruck Clinic for Infectiology, treated Austria's first known coronavirus patients at the time. He also acted as an advisor to the government, but withdrew again.
