Presumably every driver is familiar with the situation: you're driving in an IG-L 100 zone on the highway, sticking to the speed limit and tons of cars speed past on the left, freezing cold. This begs the question: is anyone actually checking the "air hundred"? Or can anyone drive as they please? And how many speeders are actually caught each year?

Basically, the so-called "Luft-Hunderter" is well known to drivers not only in Styria. This refers to speed limits with the additional abbreviation "IG-L". This stands for "Immissionsschutzgesetz-Luft", a federal law with the aim of reducing pollutant emissions from cars, among other things.
