Chinese sabre-rattling over the US-backed island state of Taiwan, Putin's invasion of Ukraine, Israel's Gaza war against Hamas and Houthi missile terror in the Red Sea: the world is in a new age of war - and global armament is the result. This is also the case in the USA, where four decades after the M1 Abrams, a new tank model is set to roll off the production lines. This is not least to prepare for a possible conflict with China. The new tank is ideal for the battle for Taiwan, says its chief developer.
