Scandal over "remigration"
How Martin Sellner became the nation’s creep
Young, handsome, charismatic - mothers all over the country are on the lookout for this son-in-law for their daughters. Martin Sellner has all these attributes. However, his political views turn the 35-year-old from a dream man into a nightmare. Who is Martin Sellner and how did he become a right-wing populist? Krone+ took a look at where the origins of a far-right life can lie.
Born in Vienna in 1989, the son of a homeopath and a teacher, living in the posh spa town of Baden near Vienna - at first glance, a solid foundation for a growing offspring. But Martin Sellner's path took a right turn early on. Extremely to the right, as it later turned out. In general, radicalization, whether political or religious, can happen at an early age. Nobody is born right-wing radical, "nobody becomes radicalized on their own", as Matthias Quent, Professor of Sociology at Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences, points out.
