Heavy crash deprives ÖSV hopeful of World Championship start
Moritz Zudrell made a meteoric rise last season. Just two weeks after his World Cup debut in Wengen, the young man from Vorarlberg took silver in the slalom and bronze in the team combined at the Junior World Championships in France. And the 19-year-old also wanted to make his mark at the junior championships this season - but nothing will come of it (for now)...
"It's never fun to get caught up in a giant slalom," said Moritz Zudrell, who had exactly that happen to him last Saturday in the second run of the FIS giant slalom at Pass Thurn during a left turn. "The ski suddenly grabbed, it spun me out and I went flying."
