Band on the brink: fears for police music

Until a new federal government is in place, the police will have to make savings throughout Austria. Now they are fearing for the music association. Salzburg's police director Bernhard Rausch does not want to cut back on security under any circumstances and has to analyze all areas with savings potential.

"Good entertainment for sure!" This has always been the motto of the Salzburg police band. This could soon come to an end. According to information from "Krone", savings are currently being made in all areas of the police force throughout Austria. The austerity measures could also affect the internal music association. 42 musicians in Salzburg are therefore in uncertainty.
