Austria trails 3:7 in Vienna’s culture match
Part 4 of our theme week looks into the executive floors of Vienna's cultural temples: Austrians are a minority in the major theaters and museums. The Ministry of Culture sees nothing wrong with this. And at least for some new bosses, the nationality in their passports is only half the truth.

This means that Austria will still only have a 3:7 lead in Vienna's most important cultural institutions (see chart below): Only the State Opera, the Belvedere and the Wien Museum have a red-white-red signature from the management downwards, the rest of the houses around the Ringstrasse and beyond are distributed among bosses from all over the world.
