In good times and bad? Not at all! Almost every second marriage ends in divorce these days. We asked couples who have stayed together for decades, who have fallen over a few stumbling blocks and why love alone is not enough. We have compiled five truths that every couple should know. 

Initial butterflies in the stomach and that tingling feeling are typical of the beginning of a relationship, which stands for being in love. But over time, this intense excitement turns into a deeper feeling: love. This is warmer, but no longer as exciting and therefore presents new challenges. Suddenly, flaws in your partner become visible that were previously unrecognizable, and your partner shows facets that surprise you. Everything seems less exciting - even sex and intimacy become habitual.

We spoke to couples who have managed to stay together as a couple for a long time and compiled their secrets of a long-term relationship into five truths.
