Italy wants to pump billions into the Brenner corridor

With around 2.5 million trucks and twelve million cars, the Brenner corridor is one of the busiest in Europe. Italy now wants to invest massively in expanding capacity in South Tyrol, while the bottleneck in North Tyrol remains.

It has been clear for some time that the time of new annual records is over. However, the avalanche of trucks continues to roll at a high level. 2.4 million transit trucks are expected for 2024 and probably also for 2025.
