The coalition negotiations between the Styrian FPÖ and the ÖVP are about to be concluded three weeks after the state elections. However, only the victorious blue party is in the white smoke when it comes to personnel; the black government partner has dark clouds with obstructionism.

Three weeks after the state elections and two weeks after FPÖ election winner Mario Kunasek decided to negotiate with the defeated state ÖVP as a coalition partner, the talks are in the final stages - even if the proverbial white smoke is still missing for a successful conclusion. While everything seems clear on the side of the successful blue party, dark clouds are gathering over the black party.
