As soon as the Christmas markets opened in mid-November, we started the big "Krone" punch test. How big is the selection, how high is the price and what else is on offer? You can find all the results here!

Over several weeks, "Krone" editors tested eleven different Christmas markets throughout the city. Now we would like to present you with the overall rating compiled by the Vienna editorial team (see chart). First things first: every single Christmas market we visited is worth a trip during Advent. Because each one has its own special attributes.

We have selected five categories for our evaluation:

• Price for punch and co.
• Offer: Number of stalls for drinks, food and handicrafts
• Flair
• Supporting program: concerts, crafts for children and amusement shops
• Accessibility by public transport
