How fraudsters try to scam senior citizens out of their money

The Austrian Seniors' Association warns: the pre-Christmas period is peak season for thieves - and not just at Christmas markets, where you should keep an eye on your pockets. The scams are becoming more sophisticated and brazen. Preferred victims: senior citizens. The criminals also scam huge sums of money.

Ingrid Korosec, President of the Austrian Seniors' Association, sounds the alarm: "These criminals see senior citizens as 'easy victims' and exploit their willingness to help. So be vigilant!
