Drama at the “Bergdoktor”: This was the trial finale

After the maypole drama at the end of April in Going, Tyrol, in which a boy (7) was almost killed and the "Bergdoktor" guesthouse was severely damaged, the trial in Innsbruck reached its finale on Monday. The boss of the transport company and the crane operator had to stand trial for grossly negligent grievous bodily harm.

The community of Going am Wilden Kaiser narrowly escaped a catastrophe on April 30th. The rural youth had commissioned a transport company to erect a maypole with the help of a crane. The supposedly routine job went horribly wrong. The tree apparently got out of control due to a gust of wind and toppled over.
