Investor remains on the sidelines

For the time being, Bad Gastein is hoping in vain for a concept for the Kongresshaus and Haus Austria: a date has been announced for the fall. At the moment, however, nothing more has been heard. There is little hope that the eyesores in the former Monte Carlo of the Alps will soon disappear.

The plaster has been crumbling away for years: The two buildings are falling into disrepair in the hard-hit center of Bad Gastein. And the picture remains unchanged. Although Straubingerplatz has been revitalized, the building sin from the 1970s and the once imposing Haus Austria opposite are increasingly becoming an eyesore for the former Monte Carlo of the Alps. New hopes were only raised in the spring.
