First speeding car can be bought at auction from €400

In August, a 17-year-old was speeding along the Westautobahn at almost 200 km/h and was stopped near Ansfelden in Upper Austria. His VW Passat, built in 2022, is the first vehicle to go under the hammer in Upper Austria under the new law. The online auction will start in a few days.

Anyone wishing to bid for a piece of traffic history will soon be able to do so online: a VW Passat, built in 2002, is expected to be available for bidding on the Dorotheum auction house website from November 6, with a starting price of 400 euros. It is the first car to be auctioned off under the new speeding law in Upper Austria.
