“That’s when I got the order: Kill your brother!”
The 14-year-old Styrian who killed his eldest brother with a Viking axe two weeks ago now claims that an "evil voice" in his head forced him to commit the crime. "I've known for many years," says the boy, "that there's something sinister inside me."
Somehow he doesn't seem to fit into this "other world" in prison. He - Gerhard H. (name changed). A 14-year-old. Who behaves in an extremely well-adjusted way; polite, calm. His appearance is almost childlike, with his neat haircut and delicate facial features. And no, no one around him would have thought the young Styrian was a bad guy - until recently.
He had always been regarded as a well-behaved, perhaps a little quiet pupil; as a boy who always stuck to the rules, did harmless things in his free time, sometimes visited fast food restaurants with his clique. And was otherwise mostly at home. In a neat little house in Kindberg.
It was there, on September 16, that he committed an act of madness, killing his eldest brother - Florian (name changed), a shift worker - with 17 blows from a Viking axe. A "stupid, actually pointless argument" about the distribution of various household chores had escalated - the boy initially explained during interrogations. However, he only began to talk about the alleged "real reasons" for his crime against the 36-year-old a few days ago ...
