His pop songs are better known than his name. Albert Hammond has written world hits for superstars, but also for himself. After several years away from the stage, the 80-year-old world star is celebrating his comeback at "Aufsteirern - Die TV-Show der Volkskultur" in Graz.

The word "legend" is used far too often and therefore inflationary. In the case of Albert Hammond, there is hardly a more appropriate term to describe the world hits champion and his career. Nobody has been able to get past his hits in the last 55 years: They are catchy tunes for the ages.
