There has been a war between the German Football League (DFL) and the streaming service DAZN for months. The reason: the denial of TV broadcasting rights. The arbitration decision will be made on Tuesday. DAZN is already threatening consequences in advance. Krone+ explains what's behind it.

The whole kicker drama began in April. At that time, the DFL awarded the so-called rights package B to the pay-TV broadcaster Sky. This includes all Bundesliga Saturday afternoon matches, the Friday matches and the relegation matches for the 2025/26 to 2028/29 seasons. In total, the broadcasting rights for 196 matches are at stake.
