The mayors are now taking a closer look at recreational residences. The province of Tyrol has issued guidelines for inspections and set a range of penalties, but these are far from being exhausted! Also: We show the top 10 places with the highest recreational residence rate.

There are around 26,000 leisure residences in Tyrol. 16,000 of these have been approved over the years and decades, meaning they are legal to use. There are also 10,000 illegal leisure residences. Naturally, there is no official information about them.
