These images inspire even science

Spectacular images of auroras over the Alps or unique time lapses of melting glaciers. Whether in the rock face or in the eternal ice: a Carinthian mountain professional installs webcams in even the most remote regions. 

After a huge landslide, the Mittlere Burgstall in the Glockner region has not come to rest.

"Drone surveys by Geosphere Austria show that the 2933-metre-high silicate marble rock giant is still moving in the decimetre range," says experienced Salzburg state geologist Gerald Valentin.

This is why the mountain is to be kept under constant observation.
