Tragedy in Carinthia
Julia wanted a new life – and had to die
With her fourth child under her heart, Julia from Carinthia had to die - her married lover was convicted as the murderer and still refuses to confess to the crime. But he has accepted a life sentence.
It is a sultry summer night. A couple in Feffernitz in Upper Carinthia can't sleep. Between 1.15 and 1.30 a.m., they suddenly hear loud screams and repeated rumbling from the neighboring apartment, where a young mother, Julia, lives with her three small children. When the man looks out of the window shortly afterwards, he spots a male figure in the courtyard, who first leaves and then quickly runs away. It is clear to the worried neighbors that something bad must have happened.
