When the central hospital in Stainach-Pürgg is built, Schladming Hospital will be history. Plans for its subsequent use are currently being worked on. Injured athletes can breathe a sigh of relief as the accident and emergency department is to remain.

No sign of a summer break: the provincial government is currently working flat out on the re-use concepts for the three hospital sites in Upper Styria that have been counted out. Karlheinz Kornhäusl, the ÖVP state health councillor, wants to present the plans to the public before the fall - ideally in a package of three.
