Taylor Swift: A show that breaks all boundaries
2.165 billion dollars in revenue, 152 concerts worldwide, six million fans - the "Eras Tour" by US megastar Taylor Swift is the most successful concert series in music history. From August 8 to 10, the 34-year-old will be performing at Vienna's Ernst Happel Stadium on three evenings. The 170,000 fans can expect a pop show that breaks all boundaries. Krone+ knows more.
A Taylor Swift concert is a gigantic affair. In every respect. This applies not only to its sheer length - up to 46 songs in three and a half hours - but also to the size of the stage, the sophisticated light show and the technology behind it.
When the "Eras" concert tour ends in Vancouver on December 8, 2024, it will go down in pop music history as the most commercially successful tour of all time with projected revenues of 2.165 billion dollars, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The previous leader is Elton John's "Farewell Yellow Brick Road" farewell tour, which generated a total of 939.1 million dollars from 330 performances between 2018 and 2023. With Taylor Swift, however, everything is a little bigger.
