“Plays like an autist”: Dembele viciously attacked

Jorge Sampaoli in turmoil! The former head coach of the Argentinian national soccer team has caused a scandal with highly controversial statements about Ousmane Dembele. The PSG striker plays like an autist, according to the 64-year-old.  

"When everything goes haywire with him, his teammates are just spectators watching how his actions end," Sampaoli sharply criticized the 27-year-old in an interview with French magazine "So Foot". "They know he plays like an autist: He starts the action on his own and finishes it on his own."

"Not my idea of soccer"
In general, the Argentine doesn't seem to be a big fan of France, judging Didier Deschamps' squad: "France have an exceptional team, but they have to run a lot. When the spaces are small, they can't find a solution despite their great individual skills. The team relies on a stable defense and a good day from the offensive players. That's not my idea of soccer."

While the relationship between France and Argentina was probably not the best after the 2022 World Cup final anyway, it is likely to have been further damaged by the racist comments made by the Argentinian players after winning the Copa America. A feud in which Sampaoli probably also wants to have a say ...
