The US manufacturer American Rounds promises nothing less than a "revolution in the ammunition industry" with its first "intelligent" ammunition vending machine with integrated AI technology and facial recognition. However, it is not meeting with approval everywhere.

With 120.5 guns per 100 inhabitants (see chart below), the USA is the country with the highest gun density in the world and the only one with more firearms in civilian possession than people - with a population of just under 335 million, that's saying something. According to a recent report by Pew Research, one in four Americans lives in a household with a gun, and one in three even owns one themselves.
