31 million euros: Patron wears the donor pants

Art collector Prof. Helmut Zambo is now donating works worth 31 million euros to the state of Lower Austria - including big names such as Walla, Hauser and Reisenbauer.

Works of art worth more than 31 million euros are changing hands these days: with the donation from Prof. Helmut Zambo, a total of 720 works are moving into blue and yellow realms. For the passionate art collector from Baden-Württemberg, however, this is only the core collection. This donation is causing quite a stir and is not only making the hearts of local art connoisseurs beat faster. How did it come about?
