From July, Vienna will be tightening the rules for renting via the online platform - an approach that a tourism expert can also imagine for the rest of Austria. The "Krone" spoke to him about the competition, and a landlady talks about her experiences with the platform.
Hosting travelers in free living space - that was the basic idea behind the AirBnB rental platform founded in 2008. However, resourceful users quickly turned it into a business model that significantly restricts Vienna with July. In future, anyone advertising accommodation on the platform will only be allowed to do so for 90 days a year.
