Active noise cancellation is currently generally regarded as the measure of all things in the headphone segment and is marketed accordingly by manufacturers: Increasingly sophisticated microphones and algorithms are supposed to ensure that you no longer notice anything from the outside world and can therefore fully devote yourself to the music.
