Why Edward Snowden is firing back against OpenAI

Eleven years ago, Edward Snowden revealed that the US intelligence agency NSA was spying on the communications and private data of people all over the world. Now the whistleblower is warning of a new threat: OpenAI, known for its AI chatbot ChatGPT.

Snowden had worked as a system administrator for the National Security Agency (NSA), downloading thousands of secret documents that show the extent of global data collection that began after the terrorist attacks on New York's World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.
