The kick-off for the new Bundesliga season is on August 2. While the footballers are currently enjoying their well-deserved vacations, the organizers of the Merkur Arena in Graz are preparing for a sweaty summer. After all, there is some homework to be done following GAK's promotion.

Step number one for the stadium operators was the replacement of the pitch - as reported by the "Krone". While Sturm circles are said to have taken a rather critical view of the recent replacement of the turf (it was laid in October 2023), the stadium company argued otherwise. "We want to offer GAK and Sturm a pitch at the highest level."
