What we dream about and what it means

For the ancient Mesopotamians, they were divine messages, while for Sigmund Freud they were an expression of repressed desires and a direct line to the unconscious - no matter how: We all have dreams, usually several times during sleep. But what do people in Austria dream about and what does it mean? Krone+ on teeth falling out, dangerous animals and thoughts of past loves.

Why and why we dream is still not sufficiently understood and has been the subject of numerous studies. Whether we use our dreams to process things that particularly concern us, to reorganize our feelings or to clear out useless memory content and store new information with what has already happened: The fact is, we dream regularly, mostly during the phase of REM sleep, which is therefore also called the dream sleep phase and, in contrast to deep sleep phases, is characterized by increased brain activity.

But what do we dream about in Austria and elsewhere in the world and what do these dreams - in all probability - mean?
