Leo Lainer about his son:

“Stefan has always been a real fighter”

In the "Krone" series about Austria's EURO stars, this time it's all about Germany legionnaire Stefan Lainer. The Salzburg native was diagnosed with cancer just last summer and is now about to take part in his second European Championship. Dad and ex-professional Leo couldn't be prouder of his son. 

"The fact that Stefan is in the Austrian squad despite this history is truly incredible. You couldn't really expect that last year, but he was able to pull himself together." Leo Lainer is incredibly proud of his son. It was only last summer that he received the horror diagnosis of lymph node cancer.
