“I wanted to live on for my children”

Mother's Day is a special day of honor for Petra vom "Llois" from Langenlois in the district of Krems. The 53-year-old is not only a full-blooded mother, but also a businesswoman. She tells the Krone how she manages her award-winning regional store, has survived two bouts of cancer and wants to encourage other women. 

Petra opened her small regional store in the wine and tourism community of Langenlois in Kamptal in December 2018. At the age of 48, she took the plunge into self-employment. "I dared to do it as a mother of two adolescent children. The idea had always been there, but I waited for the right time. My time came not quite six years ago," says the Langenlois native.
