While some federal states - especially the metropolis of Vienna - are on the brink of the abyss, other parts of the republic are still waiting tensely. Our schools are already bursting at the seams - especially in the metropolitan areas, with the situation in Vienna being particularly tense as a refugee stronghold. For many head teachers, every fall is a nail-biter as to whether all subjects can actually be filled. An additional 300 girls and boys are expected to attend school here every month - due to the influx. In addition, many teachers are moving out of Vienna. Nobody knows how this can be managed.
