Interview with Krankl
Hans Krankl: “Goleador” about music and the Bundesliga
A special kind of home game: "Goleador" Hans Krankl chats to the "Krone" ahead of his appearance at the Posthof in Linz about whether Salzburg or Sturm will win the championship title, how he actually got into music, how much he misses Willi Resetarits and what it's like to be back in Upper Austria after his arrest.
"Krone": Mr. Krankl, you're back in Linz for the first time since 15 August 2022, this time with the band Monti Beton. Back then, your arrest during the Bundesliga match between LASK and Rapid made headlines across Europe. The proceedings for resisting arrest have since been dropped. Have you made your peace with Linz?
Hans Krankl: I've always been at peace with Linz. The nastiness happened in Pasching, not in Linz. That's a difference. I don't want to talk about it anymore. During my time as coach in Linz, I got to know a lot of people who really cared about LASK. Apart from Rapid, no other club in Austria has such support. And I have a good relationship with LASK boss Siegmund Gruber.
