Why an explosive stink bomb is dividing a village

A huge dispute is raging in the small village of Nonndorf near Raabs an der Thaya (Lower Austria). There is hail of insults and threats, and a complaint has even been filed with the public prosecutor. And all this for the further progress of a project that stinks and was already explosive 50 years ago.

In rural villages, there are probably few topics that are more controversial. But that is also clear, because the few property owners often have to dig deep into their pockets to cover the construction costs. For some, this not only has a strong aftertaste, it also stinks - in the truest sense of the word.
