Cancer pushes the body to its limits. Additional surprises are absolutely unwelcome, especially when it comes to surprisingly high medical bills. But this is exactly what happened to a cancer patient in Wels - she was asked to pay for a check-up.

Cornelia W. (63, name changed) from Upper Austria has been battling cancer for years and has had to go to hospital time and again. And now, after a visit to the doctor, the woman from Wels was also terribly annoyed. "I was prescribed a new medication in hospital. But I wanted to clarify this with an expert for my form of blood cancer," she tells "Krone".
