There has always been something artificial about pageants. It should therefore come as no surprise that the world's first beauty contest for AI-generated models has now been launched. However, pixels in perfection alone will probably not be enough for the virtual contestants to win the "Miss AI" competition at the beginning of May.

"Apply now for the chance to become the world's first 'Miss AI' and take home over 20,000 dollars worth of prizes," says the official website for the extraordinary beauty contest, which will be held as part of the World AI Creator Awards (WAICA) on May 10. Extraordinary because the "artificial" pageant has little in common with a "real" pageant.
