Finally done! After 67 months and 93,782 kilometers of non-stop cycling, Edwin Schmidt (58) had reached his long-awaited destination: the Cape of Good Hope at the southern tip of Africa. The globetrotter returned home, his "Intercontinental" bike stayed there. Because the adventure continues...

The Burgenland native set off in 2018 purely out of enthusiasm for sporting challenges and curiosity for foreign cultures. He pedaled tirelessly - from his hometown of Strebersdorf, a district of Lutzmannsburg, to Istanbul, then on to Singapore, from Darwin to Sydney, from Los Angeles to Rio de Janeiro.
