H.P. Baxxter in conversation
Scooter: Evenings at the techno disco with mom
Unbelievable, but true: techno king H.P. Baxxter celebrated his 60th birthday in March. With the new album "Open Your Mind And Your Trousers" and all the big hits, he is coming to the Wiener Stadthalle today with his life project Scooter. In an in-depth interview, the likeable Hamburg native talks about his good genes, everyday grit, his place of longing, Vienna, and why his mother often likes to join in the celebrations.
"Krone": H.P., you are a very restless character who also travels and is on the road a lot in his private life. Doyou still enjoy that?
H.P. Baxxter: Definitely. I couldn't just sit at home now, but it's very important to come down once in a while. I've lived here in Hamburg for 25 years and have always renovated and extended my house - you have to be able to enjoy that at some point. I also have two crazy dogs to deal with.
