Because apartment prices had climbed to record-breaking heights in the previous year, demand had also plummeted - in one district, not even half as many apartments were sold as in 2022. But not everyone was deterred from buying their dream apartment by the high prices!

Last year, 4876 condominiums were sold in Upper Austria for an impressive 1.2 billion euros. Both the sales value and the total number of apartments that changed hands in the previous year are around a quarter lower than in 2022. Nevertheless, Upper Austria - albeit closely followed by its neighbor Lower Austria - remains the third-largest housing market in the entire country, as the real estate experts from Remax announced on Wednesday.
