25,000 liters of grape juice threatened with destruction

In 2021, the Weinidylle Nature Park saved eleven hectares of vineyards from being uprooted. However, thousands of liters of grape juice have no buyers and are now in danger of spoiling. A final rescue attempt is now underway. 

It may be hard to believe, but even in Burgenland, a region that loves to drink, consumer behavior when it comes to wine has changed for the worse. In general, the wine industry is currently suffering from oversupply and inflation. This has already made itself felt in the Piinkatal in 2021. It went so far that many vineyards in the Weinidylle nature park, which stretches from Rechnitz to Heiligenbrunn, were threatened with uprooting.
