The head of the secret service currently sees no danger of an attack in Austria. Professor Thomas Schmidinger disagrees: "There are still potential terrorists in the country."

The headlines of the past few days are not for the faint-hearted. A devastating attack in Moscow, the highest terror alert in France, mass arrests of IS members in Turkey and increased security alerts at domestic Easter markets. The finely dosed and precautionary reassuring statements by Omar Haijawi-Pirchner, Head of the Directorate of State Security and Intelligence (DSN), on Tuesday therefore caused quite a stir.
